It is exciting to learn about students’ stories and planning for future successes! I have always found fulfillment in empowering others and helping my community blossom. As a College and Career Navigator, I look forward to supporting others embark on their unique educational journeys. Luckily, I had great mentors along my journey that helped guide me through the process. Adult Education on all campuses/communityĪs a first-generation, DACAmented, Latina college student, navigating the higher education system and being the first one in my family to experience many firsts was incredibly challenging.At the Lakeshore campus on Monday to Friday, at the Grayslake campus on Thursdays.in Criminal Justice, University of North Carolina in Psychology, University of North Carolina I hope to inspire students to succeed in not only their education, but their life paths as well. I hope to help students find their interests in different fields while taking some of the pressure off of “having it all figured out." There is no timeline on life, despite the societal pressures put on today’s generations. As a College and Career Navigator, I plan to work with students in deciding their next step in education, even if they haven’t yet found their passion for a specific career. at CLC I transferred to the University of North Carolina where I received my Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and Bachelor's in Psychology. I grew up in Lake Villa and went to Grayslake North Highschool. am a CLC Alumni where I got my Associates degree and played softball for two years.
